God speaks in many ways, even with numbers.

Have you been seeing 1111 or 2222 or some other numbers over and over, and wondering what on earth it means?

Why would God speak in this way?

An overview:  God is speaking all the time! The question is, are we recognizing His voice and what is He saying? God can, and does, speak to us in many and varied creative ways. Of course the most common way is through his word and through his “still small voice” direct to our spirit which is cultivated through reading the bible and prayer. Relationship with God is key to hearing His voice.

I have found God to not be confined in His communication however. Who hasn’t found creation itself to speak deep to our hearts at times, such as a rainbow at just the right moment, or a stunning sunrise that speaks of hope and beauty to us? God can speak through dreams, visions, a timely prophetic word, our devotion books, or through a movie that just shared the heart of God or even, dare I say, a face book post! We can hear God through a sermon or through the wise words of a dear friend, or most importantly reading the bible, or his still, small voice direct to our spirit. In recent years I have found that God is beyond creative and will find a way to share his heart with us.  One way I’ve discovered over recent years, is numbers! Yep, God speaking through numbers, or more precisely the unusual repetition of certain numbers in my life.  This is more common than some would suppose.

By “seeing” numbers, I simply mean seeing the same number over and over all of sudden.  For instance, waking in the night and its the same time for night after night, or looking at a clock and its always the same time, or everywhere you look the same numbers keep appearing in the strangest of ways so that you become acutely aware its not a coincidence, but a creative message from God.

I am NOT supporting numerology and do not endorse, encourage or participate in this. I am simply talking about seeing and encountering certain numbers with such regularity that at some point it becomes obvious that God is trying to say something…. and then asking Him about it!

This happened to my husband and I some years ago and it has continued to this day. Its such a fun way God has spoken to us and now it feels like a “kiss from heaven” when at a crucial moment I see a certain number or wake in the night to see 2:22 for instance. Now, it just makes me smile.

I have encountered many who are experiencing the same thing and asking “what is God saying?”. God is getting the attention of his kids!  I have chosen to steward this as best I can and take note over many years when I sense God is speaking in this way.  I’ve prayed and sought Him for meaning when I repetitiously see a number or sequence of numbers that stirs my spirit.

As I know many are seeing similar things, I’ve written down what God has shown me.  This is NOT A FORMULA and God speaks uniquely and personally to each one of us. What means something to me, may mean something completely different to you. However I have felt impressed lately as I’ve heard more and more people talking about this way of God speaking to them to share what God has shown me, even if only to bring encouragement that this is a valid and more common than you think way God seems to be speaking.

When seeing numbers, I encourage you to take note what you are doing or talking about at the time as this can be key, or the season you are in.  Importantly, always ask God for yourself what he is saying to you.

I encourage you to use this attached guide as a springboard into praying and seeking God for yourself what He is saying to you.

This is not an exhaustive list or study. This is a work in progress and my discoveries so far. I hope its helpful to you, and I welcome your feedback, and stories of what God has said to you. SOME COMMON NUMBERS THAT MANY SEE AND INSIGHT INTO WHAT THEY MEAN.
(updated September 2016)
(All of these carry a call to pray and believe God for good things in the season you find yourself in.  I’ve attached bible references where God has given me one)

1111, 111
Awakening, Wake Up Call, fresh spiritual awakening into more, supernatural favour and provision to take possession of promises, transition and alignment, revival.  God is bringing life to the dead things and places.  God is breathing encounters over you to WAKE YOU UP into spiritual clarity, fresh connected relationship with Him, and awakened sense of identity in God and your exciting eternal purpose.

Isaiah 11:11   “In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the surviving remnant of his people…”   God is with his remnant.
John 11:11   “After he had said this, he went on to tell them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up.”  Resurrection life, God of the impossible, AWAKENING
Deut 11:11   “But the land you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven.”

New authority and ownership, coming into promises, tasting promises, supernatural favour and provision where God leads.
11 can mean transition and so a doubling of eleven can signify a season of intense shaking as things transition into the new. 11 also means alignment and so the shaking brings alignment to allow for awakening and revival.

Many people of differing beliefs are seeing 1111 and it seems to be a common way God is speaking to believers and non-believers alike, getting peoples attention.  In the new age movement this is a known phenomena where many are aware this a common spiritual occurrence and seeking understanding.  This is a personal “wake up call” from God. God is calling in people into divine purpose for their lives and signaling a season where their hearts are being softened and wooed by God, and hunger ignited. It speaks of an invitation into a personal, spiritual awakening into the mysteries of the kingdom, bringing fullness of life.  God is knocking on the door of their hearts offering “salvation”, an authentic, re-connected relationship with their creator.  Personally, I think God is reminding all of us, He is not in a box and He is creative and fun, and far from boring in His capacity to communicate his heart.

A PRAYER TO ASK GOD TO BE GOD IN MY LIFE
(If as you read this you feel God is speaking to you personally, and inviting you into new, deep faith in Him, then I invite you to pray this prayer.  It’s simple words, but an authentic response to reconnect and surrender your life to God, and establish God as your source of life, hope and eternal purpose. God loves you and I bless you in this journey.)

God, I come to you in the name of Jesus and thank you that you have been reaching out to me.
I thank you that you speak, and that you are speaking to me.  I want you in my life, and I want you in my heart.  I surrender my life into your hands and thank you that in my searching for meaning and purpose you have led me to YOU, my creator, loving God and Heavenly Father. I ask for forgiveness of all sin that has led to disconnection from you and my life purpose and I receive your forgiveness.  

I also ask for your Holy Spirit to come into my life and restore full connection of my heart to your heart, and I receive the gift of eternal purpose and life in you God.  I thank you God that Jesus died that I might be fully alive in you and so I ask you God to breathe life into my core and re-envision me, re-connect me to the source of life which is you, and re-store child-like joy and inner peace to me.  I thank you God for new joy, healing hope and fresh relationship with you that will increasing lead to a future filled with divine purpose and fullness of hope in you.  Would you come into my life and re-design it according to your beauty, brilliance and goodness. Would you show me just how amazing you are God and re-define in my thinking anywhere I need to see you as you really are and re-discover just how good and loving you are.  Show me God how much you love me.  I acknowledge I need you, I want you, and I’m giving my life from now on into your faithful hands God.  Thank you that I am loved by you.  Help me to know you love in every area of my life and expect your kindness to show up and lead me into every dream you have purposed for my life.   Come take over my life and my heart.  I’m expectant God because you are good.  I’m excited God because you are creative.  I’m hopeful because your capacity to bring solutions and turn things around is astounding.  I’m encouraged because your the God of miracles and I’m asking for a miracle in my life. Open door, Double doors, Authority to decree God’s purposes, assuriety of his promises, keys to the kingdom

Open doors of favour.  Walk through the open door.  Man cannot stop what God had decreed. Kingly authority to take new ground. Encouragement for the pioneer and those establishing apostolic works to trust and enter new promise.  You can trust God with both open and closed doors.  Intercede with governmental, kingly authority establishing in the spirit kingdom order.

Isaiah 22:22 “I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.”

333, 3333
Fresh revelation and divine strategy out of heaven is being released, pray and ask and expect revelation and nearness of his presence, the unknown is available to be known, pray for the hidden to be revealed, ASK God.

Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’”
A call to intercession as hidden revelation is available to be received. A reminder God will answer you! Revelation for the path revealed. Expect encounter.

Ask of Him as He is releasing fresh, new revelation and strategy for the current season/circumstance.

444, 4444
Open door, creative miracles, creative opportunities opening, invitation to encounter fresh intimacy with God, Come up higher, fresh perspective and increase of vision, breakthrough season of victory.

Rev 4:1 “Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.”

Psalm 44:4 “You are my King and my God, who decrees victories for Jacob.“

The number 4 speaks of creation, the earth or creative works as it was the fourth day of creation saw material creation finished. In the hebrew language the fourth letter is “dalet” and is represented pictorially as an open door, likened to an open tent door such as found entering the “tent of meeting”. The open door implies an invitation to enter fresh, intimate encounter with God’s presence and build intimacy with God. When seeing 4’s take note of what you are doing at the time as it can be God talking of an open door season and creative miracles, especially pertaining to entering the season you are on the threshold of. A fresh perspective as you come up higher and see the doors open to you.  An increase of the seer gifting to see with greater clarity.  God is decreeing victory over you.  Align with what God is saying as you enter the door God has opened and decree victory.

555, 5555
His abundant grace
Expect his grace on you and with you and around you. Five can also signify favour and abundance. Abundant grace.  Take notice of what you are talking about or doing when you see this.  Grace to walk in the fullness of what you are called to, displaying his glory.  Extend His grace on purpose.

Isaiah 55:5  “Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you, because of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendour.”

Order, completion of order, fullness of a season.
Where the enemy brought destruction, God is releasing life and speaking fullness of life.

John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Divine Order, Apostolic government and fullness, Kingdom government, perfect rule.   A season coming into kingdom completion and order.  A stepping into right order. An upgrade and shifting into kingdom, governmental order around you.

Transition into apostolic order and government. A new breed. Changing of the guard. Promotion. A shifting into a new alignment. Stepping into new anointing for the new season.

Deut 11:12
“It is a land the LORD your God cares for; the eyes of the LORD your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end.”

Gods faithfulness and careful attention to watch over you from beginning to end of the season you are in. Nothing escapes his care.

Alignment.
Divine alignment and positioning. God is lining things up for you with ease. God is watching over you.  You can trust Him.

(updated January 2017 after an encounter.  A word is released about this entitled 1235 Are you Ready?) Take the next step. There is a grace to step into what God is speaking to you about. God is aligning things for expansion and extending the borders of your faith.

Luke 12:35 “Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning”
Get dressed and ready to run. God is calling the bride from luke warm to HOT. An upgraded anointing for service and to be BURNING ONES. Wait in His presence until you are BURNING and get OIL to keep going. It is an urgent invitation to come into the secret place, fall in love all over again, and receive from Him what you need for this NOW season. Prioritise Him now, not later, as Burning Ones are marked for service.  God is asking, “Are you ready”?

JESUS DESIRES A BRIDE THAT IS BURNS FOR HIM, JUST AS HE BURNS FOR HER.
Jesus like any “husband” desires to be loved above “other things” by His bride. You are being called into more, marked by fire and anointed to burn. May you sense His wooing and know God loves you deeply.

Take the next step. Its time for the next step.

211, 311, 411, 511, 611, 711, 811
When seen in sequence or with great regularity it often is a reminder that God is lining things up and bringing things into correct order.  Alignment for a move of his spirit.  A time of strategic transition into his promises. A countdown in the spirit.  A call to decree his purposes.

911
Urgency in the spirit. Pray. A call to prayer and a call to decree what heaven is releasing as opposed to what darkness is trying to release. An urgency and grace for intercession.  Angelic protection. Restoration of Kingdom objectives. A call to decree restoration, and rebuilding of God’s design.

Take note what you are talking about or planning when you see this. Pray and call forth what God is saying and not what the enemy is pushing for.

Psalm 91:11 “For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”
Angelic protection. God has sent his angelic host to surround you and the assignment he has given you. Lean into peace and not fear. Peace be with you.

Amos 9:11 “In that day I will restore the fallen house of David. I will repair its damaged walls. From the ruins I will rebuild it and restore its former glory.”

Restoration of promise, re-building of God’s original intention, repair and healing of brokenness and repairing of broken kingdom structures, strategies & connections, life being revived from ruins, a rising up of a house and people known for worship and passionate devotion to the Lord, a raising up of a people that worship the Lord as David did leading to radical revival and reformation.  Again, a call to decree and pray.

Pray and decree “God will do this”. An establishing of season from restoration and re-building into possession, dominion and new authority over spiritual territory.
Continue to pray and step into what God is decreeing.

A continuation of Amos 9:11 into Amos 9:12 where restoration leads to possession of the promise. God establishes He will do this! The restoration process is leading to greater spiritual authority.

747
Take off! (of destiny, influence and/or promise)

God is taking you higher and further. Expansion. Increase of influence. A “taking off” and rocketing into the now promises over your life. A call to higher perspective and revelation that can only come through new emphasis on strategic prayer and declaration.

It can be specifically referencing travel and flying (as in a 747 plane, but this can just mean expansion and going higher) and/or increase of influence. An influence expands, new authority is established with the intention of releasing heaven on earth with an upgraded power-punch in your area of influence.

A call to go up higher and prioritize prophetic intercession where clarity will be given through purposed prayer focus. It is implied that to go further you must go higher. You are entering a new season that requires increased emphasis on prayer and revelatory wisdom that comes only from a higher perspective in Him. Clarity will return as you are taken up higher.

The mountains will be defeated as divine strategy is released in prayer.

You are being taken into new season that requires new strategy.

Take the next step into the new season. Expansion on expansion. You are going higher!

247, 347, 447, 547, 647, 747, 847, 947
When seen regularly and in sequence it can be referring to a count down in the spirit of all that “747” means. Higher and Further. Increase. God is taking you on a journey of specific strategic steps that will bring increase. Take the next step. Put plans in place to enter into a season of prayer and expansion, and do what God directs. The clear air provided by prophetic intercession is needed in this season of expansion.

Listen to God. Be spiritually alert and purposefully listen to what God is saying and releasing as God is speaking.  God is growing your discernment.

Take note of what God is saying and be deliberately and specifically aware of his voice. Use discernment and receive his wisdom attentively and obediently.

Revelation 2:11 “Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

It’s hot, but God is with you in the heat! Things are getting hot spiritually and transformation will take place.  Let his fire transform your heart and the circumstances around you.

212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees celsius) is the boiling point for water (at standard atmospheric pressure) implying transformation by heat/fire. Things are heating up and this will bubble over and bring transformation/change.  Listen to God’s voice attentively as things are transforming around you.

77, 777
Completion, fullness, restoration, wholeness. God will complete what He has promised. Entering into the promises of God.  God is revealing pathways of breakthrough that have previously been unseen.

Seven fold (perfected) Divine Restitution.
A paying back of what the enemy has stolen. A promise of full restoration.  God is promising complete restoration and restitution… however allow Him to do this His way and surrender to His plan over our plans.

Proverbs 6:31 “yet when he is found out (the thief) he must pay back 7 fold what he stole”

God is revealing previously hidden pathways of breakthrough
The hidden Pathways of Breakthrough are being revealed. Where the road ahead has been hidden or blocked, God is revealing the way forward. Prophetic red seas are parting to bring about advance/promise.

Psalm 77:19 “Your Road led though the sea, your pathway through the mighty waters – a pathway no one knew was there!”
