SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO GO & DO IT NOW
There’s something to be said for doing what God says, and doing it when He says. Breakthrough happens when obedience meets prophetic now moments. Sometimes, you just have to do it now to ride the wave.

Further to this, sometimes you have to go where God says to receive something God wants to give you. Like Jeremiah the prophet, God sent him to a specific place, the potters house, to receive a message from God.

Jeremiah 18:1-3 “This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: “Go down to the potter’s house, and there I will give you my message.” So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw…”

OBEDIENCE IS CRUCIAL
Obedience is crucial. I think sometimes God just wants to remind us we need the body, and sometimes He is watching to see how hungry we really are for more. If he tells us to go somewhere and receive, will we?

Everyday obedience is essential in the journey of breakthrough. And going where God directs has been key for me.

The everyday, faithful times of prayer, His word and conversation with God are so crucial to growing in God. But obedience to what He says is equally important. And a key from my experience is, some of the greatest breakthroughs in my journey have come when I’ve sensed God say GO somewhere to receive something.

Just recently our family all felt called to Florida for The Send. Of course, we wanted to go, but we each felt CALLED to be there in addition to just wanting to be there. So we jumped in the car and drove from Texas (20 hours). Once at The Send (a stadium event with 60,000 others to pray for evangelism & souls in the nations) we truly were imparted to, marked and changed. I can see why it was important to be there, as among other things we received something powerful & tangible that will effect our personal and ministry lives from now on.

Real talk: it cost money, time and energy to do this. And personally, as there’s still health challenges progressively healing, it was not an easy journey. I’m only saying this as some of us need to hear that obeying sometimes has a cost.

UNEXPECTED SUDDENLIES HAPPEN IN THE MIDST OF EVERYDAY OBEDIENCE
But, whilst there, another unexpected suddenly happened. We ended up having lunch and hours of precious, insightful conversation about revival with one of the most prolific, effective revival leaders alive today. This was gold from the fire! Our whole life is dedicated to revival harvest and so to receive impartation from one of the most powerful revival leaders of our time was to us beyond words. However, this particular suddenly would not have happened had we not obeyed God to go where he said, and when he said. Unexpected suddenlies happen in the midst of everyday obedience.

Going and obedience looks different to every person. But going and obedience is essential for every person. It could be get up now and speak to that person at the gas station about Jesus, or contact that friend you are thinking about, or go to church, or fly to that conference, or get up and pray, or be at that meeting, or say yes to that mission, or go to that nation or city, or go next door, or start that project or do now what God has been talking to you about.

GOD STILL SENDS PEOPLE TO POTTERS HOUSES
God still asks people to go to “potters houses” and receive a message from Him. I do believe there are times God is watching to see how hungry we are to hear more from Him. The deal is, there are times when you have to go somewhere to get an upgrade from God!

My point, breakthrough happens when we partner in obedience to what God says. Sometimes you just have to do it now. And sometimes you have to extend yourself and go somewhere. But every time, you have to obey the big and the little whispers from God.

Important note: yes there is grace. We all miss it at times. That’s what grace and growth is for. But determine afresh today, I listen and obey God even if it costs, and I hear breakthrough releasing revelation, wisdom and instructions from my God.

I pray breakthrough on you and over you. And I pray great grace to hear, receive and obey. I speak blessing, favour and joy on your journey and conversations with the precious Holy Spirit. I bless your obedience. Be filled with his grace, and expectation from God today.
