Psalm 44:4
“my King and my God is decreeing victory for Jacob”

As we enter 2016 VICTORY is being decreed.
God is especially decreeing victory for “Jacobs”, those who have wrestled and battled through a long, hard season.

In Genesis 32 we read of Jacobs long night wrestling with God. It is interesting to note that Jacob’s journey until now had been full of unfulfilled expectations, delayed dreams and promise that had frustrated him, and a heart journey that required upgrades of wisdom to navigate well. He was a man that worked hard, was gifted and called, and yet like many of us had walked through a season of knowing he was called, yet not entering fullness of favour or breakthrough. Hard lessons had been learned, character had been proven, dreams had taken many years longer than first planned, and his heart though he loved God, was tired of the constant battle.

Like Jacob, many are battle weary, and walking with a “limp”. It is for you that God is decreeing victory!

There is a sense that as God himself decrees this season shift of breakthrough, that there is an ease to this. The past faithful season of pursuing Him at all costs has been the contending for this breakthrough, and now the Hand of God is moving on your behalf to shift circumstances. There is an ease to this victory, as God is decreeing it. The Father would have the weary and tired know that He is turning things around.

Many in the body have wrestled through long, difficult and challenging seasons, even a dark night of the soul season, and yet held onto God and his promises. Many have come through this season carrying a “limp” of a wounded heart. For some this has looked like loss, damage, pain, disappointment and broken dreams, persecution and attack, long battles to take ground in the kingdom that resulted in wins for the kingdom that came with personal hits, and the frustration of breakthrough seemingly being withheld. Many have felt unbalanced and out of alignment despite having pursued God obediently. The battle has been tiresome for many, and a struggle to not give up. God commends your courage and honours your determination. God is restoring your joy, and bringing you into a place of full capacity and full momentum. Get ready. The season is changing.

God would say, victory is coming! Losses are being redeemed, and momentum is being released. God is accelerating increase over you and blessing is being added to you. Doors of favour in your sphere of influence are opening. Be ready to walk through them.

Just as Jacob didn’t let go of God through the night, the Father applauds your courage and faithfulness to hold on even in hard places.

I hear the Father saying, THE DAWN IS BREAKING! Look at see that the season is shifting. JUST AS THE DAWN IS BREAKING, BREAKTHROUGH IS RISING UPON YOU. THE FATHER IS DECREEING VICTORY OVER YOU! THE FATHER IS DECREEING VICTORY OVER THIS SEASON! BLESSING IS BEING ADDED UNTO YOU. FAVOUR WILL BE AT EVERY TURN.

Just before dawn breaks, Jacob is given a new name. This name change symbolises a new beginning, and a new expectation. It signifies new labels, new wineskin if you will, and new hopes. We are to have new expectations and new thinking in this season as the Father re-names our season from “impossible, to possible”, from “hopeless to hope-infused”, from “victim to victorious”, and from “broken to healed, restored and redeemed”. What has been inconceivable is now possible for you. What was unachievable is now doable.

WHEN GOD CHANGED JACOBS NAME IT WAS TO PREPARE HIM FOR BREAKTHROUGH.

God is calling us to change how we think and re-align our thoughts to what God is saying about this season, and about who we are. We are being positioned for upgrade. God is adding favour and blessing which means doors will begin to open into long-battled over prayers and promises. As these doors open, our old mindsets and beliefs that are not upgraded will prevent extended influence. We cannot afford to think small or think of ourselves less than what God thinks of us. “As a man thinks, so he is”, Proverbs 23:7. We must align our thinking with what God is saying.

Old mindsets, old fears and past hurst will keep you trapped. Fear will keep you paralysed in a season that has long shifted. This is a new beginning, and new favour and breakthrough awaits the courageous. Dreams are birthed when courage is activated. Walk in courage.

There is a dream in your heart that must be activated through courage in this season. God is decreeing breakthrough, however He is inviting you to believe Him. This is a season of dreams fulfilled, courage rising, and victory decreed. Joshua 1:9 promises that as we step out in courage, He is with us leading us into purpose focused living, and dreams fulfilled.

This is a time of redemption for weary and faithful ones who have walked with limps. God is restoring your dreams and extending your influence.

Watch as suddenly right at that moment when you think all hope is lost, breakthrough comes. You who feel at your darkest moment and in your hardest season, are about to experience your greatest breakthroughs! The dawn is breaking and God is decreeing victory!
